New this Summer! We will be introducing a small Walking Soccer League (a version of soccer that has gained popularity across the world in recent years) to our league lineup beginning in May.
What is Walking Soccer? Walking soccer is a, low-impact, non-contact, and modified version of traditional soccer designed for all ages, particularly older adults, where running and jogging are forbidden. Participants must keep at least one foot on the ground at all times with rules focusing on safety, such as no overhead balls, no tackling from behind or non-incidental physical contact, and smaller fields. This version of soccer is designed to be inclusive and open to all ages and skill levels, but especially well suited for players dealing with physical limitations (injuries etc.) that restrict their ability to play the standard 7/11-a-side format. Walking soccer games are friendly, self-refereed, but a coordinator is always present to oversee the league games.
